Social Recreation
Person-centered activities that support physical, social, and emotional well-being while helping individuals build confidence, explore interests, and stay connected to their communities.
Explore, play, and grow in the community
Social Recreation goes beyond in-home support by helping individuals build friendships, develop social skills, and participate in activities they enjoy. Through one-on-one support and community-based experiences, providers help each person explore their interests, build confidence, and feel more connected.
How Social Recreation supports meaningful experiences
Care is about more than support
It’s about connection. Our Social Recreation program helps your loved one enjoy meaningful community activities and work toward their socialization goals.
Specialized Support from Trained Coaches
Trained coaches help identify activities based on the individual’s interests and goals, then support them in participation and social connection.
Care From Someone You Trust
Care is provided by someone families already know and trust. Caregivers receive specialized training, and in many cases, the same caregiver can support multiple services.
Activities Can Look Like
Anything that helps your loved one integrate with the community. Social Recreation supports community involvement through activities like sports, hobbies, classes, community events; all with the goal of building social connections.
Meeting Personalized Milestones and Goals
Families meet with a Social Recreation Specialist to set meaningful goals, with monthly check-ins to track progress and support success.
Supports Individuals of All Ages
Individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities can participate in Social Recreation.
