How to get started
A member selects you as their caregiver
A member identifies you as their chosen caregiver. We send you everything you need to get started.
Submit your application and documents
Complete the provided application, required documents, and pass a background check. The entire process is done online, no need to come in person.
Care starts
Our team provides training and gets you onboarded so care can start quickly. You will have everything you need to provide care, log hours and get paid.

What are the requirements to become a Medi-Cal caregiver?
To become a paid caregiver through 24 Hour Home Care, you’ll need to:
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Provide two valid forms of ID
- Have access to the internet, have an email address and a phone
- Pass a background check
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete our onboarding forms online
How much will I earn?
Pay is based on the member’s health plan and your location within California. Our team will walk you through compensation details during your phone screen.
What hours will I work?
Hours are based on the member’s authorized care plan and their needs. The caregiver and the person they are caring for, create a schedule together. Many caregivers work part-time schedules that fit around existing commitments.
Can I be a caregiver for a family member?
Yes! Through our Agency With Choice model, members choose someone they already know and trust. That can be a family member, a close friend, or a neighbor.
